root work
Welcome to the beginning of your life revamp journey.
We begin at the root because nothing lasting can grow without a strong foundation. This week is about establishing internal safety, connection to the earth, and trust in your own system. This isn’t about bypassing or fixing—it’s about remembering what it feels like to be stable, safe, and supported.
The root chakra governs our relationship to survival, home, money, body, and primal security. When imbalanced, we may feel anxious, untethered, dissociated, or reactive. When grounded, we experience clarity, calm, vitality, and trust.
We also start here for biological reasons—your nervous system is the gatekeeper for everything. You can’t create, dream, or connect when your body thinks it’s in danger. This week you’ll learn to befriend your body, calm your system, and lay down a new energetic infrastructure for growth.
We’ll also introduce the science and practice of grounding, which has measurable physiological benefits:
Reduces inflammation
Regulates cortisol
Balances circadian rhythm
Enhances mood
Calms anxiety
Promotes healing
When we connect to the Earth—barefoot, in water, on soil—we literally absorb electrons that reduce oxidative stress. Your body is wired to heal in connection with nature.
journal prompts
Where and when in life have I felt most safe?
Where do I currently not feel safe or secure?
What does my body do when I’m feeling unsafe or unsupported?
What helps me to get grounded and centered when I feel dysregulated?
What would it feel like to fully trust my own system?
somatic practice
Grounding Sequence (5–10 mins daily)
Stand barefoot on earth (grass, dirt, sand if available)
Inhale deeply, exhale slowly.
Imagine a red cord moving from the base of your spine into the Earth.
Soften your knees, feel your weight transfer down.
Place a hand on your belly and say:
“I am here. I am safe. I belong.”Close with 30 seconds of shaking or bouncing to release surface tension.
real world integration
Create a “Safety Sanctuary”
Designate one corner of your home as a nervous system sanctuary. Add a soft light, grounding object, cozy texture, a grounding scent (like vetiver or cedar), and a playlist of calming music. Visit it daily—even for 5 minutes. Let your body learn that stillness is safe.
